Jaxon has been so funny lately. I walked into my room and he was sitting in the middle of all of my shoes. He had made himself a little fort. So cute. He is becoming pretty independant and he is saying so many new things every day. I am in awe of how amazing he is. What a lucky mom I am to have such a great kid.

The Oscars

Well, what a night we had. Jackie decided that our family should have an Oscar party and she instructed us to wear our "fancy dresses." Sarah and I decided to go all out and wear our old bridesmaids dresses from weddings past. Notice the 'red carpet' . It was HILARIOUS! Needless to say, Jackie was impressed with our response. It was really funny, and Sarah and I had a blast.

Girls weekend!!!

Our girls weekend to Houston was so much fun! Sarah, Jackie, my mom and I all flew to Houston to stay with Stacey and Jamey (thanks so much Stace!) for Sarah's big 30 birthday. We surprised Sarah by bringing in her best friend Jenny to meet us. She was absolutly shocked when she saw Jenny walk through the door! She couldn't stop crying. We shopped all day, everyday, ate insane amounts of candy (gotta love chocolate covered twinkies!), went to the movies everyday, and laughed so hard our abs got a great work out. I had so much fun. Every time I think about our trip, I start to giggle. Thanks girls for such a memorable time...n s**t! :)

Sledding in the Sandia's

We decided to brave the winter cold and go sledding. Rich had been talking about going for a week, so we packed everyone up and headed out. It was FREEZING!!! The wind was blowing so hard and we tried really hard to make the most out of it, but the kiddos (and Jackie and Evan) didn't last very long. But, all the boys got some pretty good runs in and managed to break almost all the snow discs...so it was a success!

Christmas in ABQ

Hi all-

Sarah is giving me a hard time because I haven't updated in forever, so I am going to do just that! Christmas was so great! Jaxon woke up around 6ish and his eyes were so wide when he saw his new train...it was like pulling teeth to get him away from it. Every time he needed to come and open another present he said "um...mommie open it...i'm too tired," and then of course he would continue playing trains. We were able to spend the day with both sides of the family and we had a great day. Jaxon loved all of his presents and loved spending the day with his grandma's and grandpa's...and of course Olivia and Sev.

Thanksgiving in Utah

We went to Utah for Thanksgiving...and we had so much fun. It was so great to see Grandma and Grandpa Ford and spend Thanksgiving with them. They were so gracious to have the WHOLE family up there. We were also really lucky to have the Rich's up in Utah at the same time, so we didn't miss out on the festivities for either family. We feel so blessed to be with our family all the time. We had fun at Thanksgiving Point...although it was freezing, we were determined to let Jaxon see the animals. He was such a good sport. It was so awesome to see the Giffords...we can't believe we manage to get along without them.

Happy Halloween

Halloween was an absolute blast! Our Halloween weekend started with wrestling Jaxon into his Cookie Monster costume. Every time he saw his costume, he would start to cry and say "no cookie...please no cookie!" The church Trunk Or Treat was so fun. Jaxon went from car to car say "twick tweet." Adorable! We carved pumpkins with Sarah and Craig...notice I said Sarah and Craig...no kids. They decided early on that it was not nearly as entertaining as scattering DVD's all over Sarah's living room. We learned that Kellie is not a pumpkin carver, although Craig should get a prize for his handy work. Halloween night was so much fun. It was so neat to have Jaxon trick or treat with his cousins. We have tons of candy, a dirty Cookie Monster costume and a tuckered out toddler...the night was a success!
