4th of July

4th of July marked our last holiday with Sarah, Craig and the kids. It was a great day. We had a fun bbq at mom and dad's house, then braved the crowds at Balloon Fiesta Park. Jax was all pooped out by the time the fire works started. All through the show, he kept saying "I'm ready to go home." He fell asleep in my arms. I love it when he does that...it reminds me of when he was a baby. I am so glad we got to spend the day with our family...we feel so blessed.

POTTY TRAINED!!!!

He finally did it!!!!!!!!!!!!! Most of you know my many hardships with Jaxon and the potty. Well, we have finally conquered the impossible. He has been doing so great and we are so happy that is out of the way! Check out the video...it is funny.

Texas Motor Speedway!!!!

We went to Fort Worth, where everything is bigger and better...according to Texans...as I soon found out as I was talking about Big Texas Hair and got stared down by a couple of guys as they walked by! We went to see the Indy Car race at the Texas Motor Speedway. It was Jaxon's first race, and he loved it! He does this funny little jerk when he gets really excited...watch the video. He was doing it the entire time we were there...I thought he was going to have a heart attack if he didn't calm down. We got to go with my parents and we also go to take Olivia, which was so great. Sarah and her fam are leaving back to Cali soon, so we felt really blessed to have the time with our Livy. We met Stacey and Jamey in Fort Worth...they drove in from Houston. The race was great...it was under yellow for quite a bit of the race, and it had a great crash on the last few laps...Jaxon was in heaven!

Jackie's wedding

I cannot believe that I have not updated in so long! Time flies! So...here we go.

Jackie and Evan were married on May 24th in the ABQ Temple. They both looked so happy and their wedding was just perfect. Everything was just how they wanted it. The kids were adorable, and I have to admit our bridesmaids dresses were gorgeous...great choice ladies! We had a fun day, although it was very sad to see our little Jackie drive away. We know that she made a perfect choice in Evan and we are glad to have as part of the family.

EVIDENCE!!!

Last night I was up until 4:00am...most of you have heard about my husband's ability to snore so loud the walls rattle. Well, now I have proof. You will need your speakers on, but you won't see a picture because it was pitch black in our room. Do I have your sympathies yet?

Washington DC

What a trip! Last year, I was asked by a few of the teachers that worked at RRMH, if I wanted to accompany them to DC. They were taking a group of 35 kids during spring break, and asked if I wanted to help chaparone. I , of course, jumped at the chance! We went for 5 days and 4 nights. We saw so many amazing sites. It was so wonderful to stand in the places that so many truly incredible men had stood. It meant so much to me to think of them and they idea that they created. We are so fortunate to live in America, and it was a because of their courage and their bravery that we stand on this American soil today. I am so greatful for my chance to see all of the things I saw. I have a better understanding and a greater love for this country. I loved it.

Easter

Easter was so much fun! We had a full weekend of dying eggs, searching for eggs, and eating all of the goodies that the easter bunny brought to us! It was a cold morning in ABQ on Easter, so when Jaxon woke up at 6:45am (that it right...no kidding), we went out to hunt eggs. He took one step outside and said "too cold...I no like it," and immediatly went inside. So funny. We had a good day with both sides of the family. It was great to see Grandma Rich and Frankie. We really enjoyed the great conversation. Jaxon, Olivia and Sevrin searched for eggs and Grammie and Papa Ford's house. They loved getting to crack eggs on everyone's heads!
