Moving Day

So sadly, the day came to move a couple of a weeks ago. I still can't believe that we sold our little house and we are moving to BIG, BAD Los Angeles. But, I think it will be a good adventure for our little family. We have prayed our little hearts out, and as much as I don't want it to feel right, it does. I am so sad to leave my family, my friends and my Albuquerque. I love this city. I always have and I always will. I am trying to figure out how one goes about leaving thier home. I guess we will soon find out. Right now we are living at my mom and dad's house and it has been awesome. Thanks mom and dad!! Jaxon is a little mixed up, but I think he is adjusting pretty well so far. He just keeps asking about his "room with the cars on the walls". We are hoping to be out in California in the middle of May, but our house hunt has been a nightmare. We have a few offers out there, but no-one knows which end is up with all of the forclosure disaster, so we are still waiting to hear if we got one.

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone that helped with this HUGE move. We couldn't have done it without you. We love you and thank you.

Ahhh!!! Where did our stuff go?

All boxed up!

Two of 9 truckloads!
All packed, cleaned and ready to go. Our last picture with our house!

"Look mom...I'm a Triceratops!"

Jaxon came in the other day with these on his head...he was pretending to be a Triceratops. So funny.

To move or not to move...

Oh my heck...I havn't posted in forever! So let me catch you up. The fam went up to Provo to move my sister Jackie and her husband Evan into "the dorms", just kidding Jackie, her apartment. Well after moving everything to the THIRD floor, the promply decided that they didn't want to move to Provo, so we packed them back down and loaded them up and brought them home. I must say, I was thrilled. I definitly did not want to say goodbye. But we had a great time in Salt Lake, and also at our cabin for a couple of days. What fun!

Snow in the 505!!!

We had our first snowfall of the season yesterday!! So of course that meant a snow day for mom, and tons of snowball fights for Jaxon and Daddy. He looked so cute all dressed up in his snow gear. The best part about it...it was gone by noon. I love Albuquerque.

Don't be a deer!!!

So...this was taken about a month ago, but it is too funny, I had to share. Rich and Jaxon play "tigers" and Jax loves it. Well, Rich loves to tease him about it, because he gets so fired up. Rich will say that he is any animal, BUT a tiger, and Jaxon loses it. So funny...

I want to be a dinosaur...no I want to be Woody...No I want to be....

In August Jaxon decided that he wanted to be a dinosaur for Halloween. So Grandma Shelley got a pattern and fabric for our cute little dinosaur. Well about a week before Halloween, we got invited to our cousin's birthday party, and the dinosaur was not quite ready. So our friend Mendie (thanks Mendie!) graciously lent us her adorable Woody costume. Well, he fought me at first, but eventually wore the costume and fell in love with it. From that day, he could not make up his mind on what he wanted to be, so he got to be both! He went trick-or-treating as a dinosaur..came home, changed his clothes, and went out again. He was so fun! Although he hates costumes and trick-or-treating, I think the night was a success!

Pumpkins...anyone???

We headed east to the McCall's Pumpkin Patch with the Gatewood's a couple of weekends ago. The kids got to play their little hearts out, and pick a pumpkin at the enormous field of pumpkins. Everyone had a great time. We are so glad we got to spend the day with our friends outside for a beautiful fall day.
