The Ottesen's come to town

So excited that my sister ,Jackie, and her husband ,Evan, FINALLY made the trip out to see us. We had such a great time! While they were here, my other sister Sarah and her kiddos made the blistering trek though the desert to see us too...with no air conditioning in their car! I love being with my sisters. We can have a good time doing just about anything... or absolutely nothing!

The Temecula Farmers Market

The tide pools at La Jolla Beach in San Diego.

The infamous Hollywood sign. Evan had wicked directions on how to get really close to it. The picture does not do it justice! We were so close!

A snipit about Mother's Day

I had to show off my Mother's day gift. I know...I am WAY behind. My AMAZING honey bought me this adorable beach cruiser for Mother's Day. What more could a California girl ask for?

I never really did blog about my AMAZING girls weekend! I think the pics speak for themselves...I love these women!

First nights rest...

I had my first night's rest in 9...count them...9 years!!!! Richie Rich as met his snoring match! He is no longer a snorer!! I have been telling him FOREVER that he has sleep apnia...and low and behold, after a night at the sleep clinic...he does! So...with the help of this great machine...I slept like a baby last night. He looks pretty sexy too huh? hehehehe. I love that he loves me enough to wear this! :)

April??

Where the heck did April go?? To tell the truth...April was sooo much fun! From the end of March to the end of April, we had 31 straight days of visitors or we were visiting someone. It was totally crazy, but so fun! Here are so pics from our visit with Grandma Rich.

Spring has Sprung!

We FINALLY got the planting bug! We loaded up the car, and I say car because I am reminded by a certain husband, on a daily basis, that we no longer own our lovely truck. Well anyway...so we made several trips to Home Depot and started OUR garden. We ripped up the backyard, but it isn't finished yet. When it is, I will update. It feels good to start making this house...ours.

I know it is March...because I made these....

So...as most of you know, I LOVE to bake. I ran across these little dreams in the goddess of baked good's magazine, better known as the lovely Paula Deen's, magazine. She had them all cutesied up for Valentine's Day, but I decided to add a little Irish flare to mine. They are filled with a cream cheese filling and topped with ganashe (sp?). Holy clovers...AWESOME.
