Snow in the 505!!!

We had our first snowfall of the season yesterday!! So of course that meant a snow day for mom, and tons of snowball fights for Jaxon and Daddy. He looked so cute all dressed up in his snow gear. The best part about it...it was gone by noon. I love Albuquerque.

Don't be a deer!!!

So...this was taken about a month ago, but it is too funny, I had to share. Rich and Jaxon play "tigers" and Jax loves it. Well, Rich loves to tease him about it, because he gets so fired up. Rich will say that he is any animal, BUT a tiger, and Jaxon loses it. So funny...

I want to be a dinosaur...no I want to be Woody...No I want to be....

In August Jaxon decided that he wanted to be a dinosaur for Halloween. So Grandma Shelley got a pattern and fabric for our cute little dinosaur. Well about a week before Halloween, we got invited to our cousin's birthday party, and the dinosaur was not quite ready. So our friend Mendie (thanks Mendie!) graciously lent us her adorable Woody costume. Well, he fought me at first, but eventually wore the costume and fell in love with it. From that day, he could not make up his mind on what he wanted to be, so he got to be both! He went trick-or-treating as a dinosaur..came home, changed his clothes, and went out again. He was so fun! Although he hates costumes and trick-or-treating, I think the night was a success!

Pumpkins...anyone???

We headed east to the McCall's Pumpkin Patch with the Gatewood's a couple of weekends ago. The kids got to play their little hearts out, and pick a pumpkin at the enormous field of pumpkins. Everyone had a great time. We are so glad we got to spend the day with our friends outside for a beautiful fall day.

Up, Up, and Away!!

Today was the first day of the Balloon Fiesta, and we couldn't have picked a more perfect day to be there! It was so warm and sunny! Jaxon walked through the gates and yelled "Oh MY GOSH!!!" It was so cute. He wanted to be right in the mix. I must admit that I loved it, too! We go every year, and I still get so excited when they all start to inflate and take off. It is so beautiful to see them in the sky in the morning. That is my favorite thing about this city. I am so glad Jaxon loved it as much as his mom did.

It's Apple Time!

Yesterday we went to Dixon's Apple Farm! We thought we were getting a head's start, but it turns out that getting there at 9:00am was a bit late. We were in line for an hour to get a parking spot, then another 20 minutes to get in the apple building. But, it was totally worth it! We were able to get some delicious apples ,which I made into my first apple pie today! It wasn't pretty, but it was yummy. We had a great day. Jaxon ran around the apple orchards, while I tried endlessly to snap pictures of him. He was not coorperative...but I did get a few. Ready or not fall is here! I am so excited!

THE STATE FAIR

We're going to the fair, fair, fair!!!! Sarah and her kiddos came into town for a few days, so we piled all the kids in the car and headed to the fair! They had a ball. Between eating junk, playing the corn box, riding tractors, riding horses, and looking at all the animals...they were all tuckered out by the time they got home. We had so much fun! What a fun way to spend the day with Olivia and Sevrin. Life just isn't the same without them around.

The New "DO"

I cut Jaxon's hair pretty short at the end of July, because I didn't want to cut it for a while. When Rich got home, he talked me into shaving it all off. He looked so funny! I was so sad after I did it...I will never do it again. I lived and learned. It has grown out quite a bit, but I am still waiting anxiously for it to come back!

My birthday cake

This was my birthday cake that the boys made me. Yes...this is how it was given to me during happy birthday songs! They put the frosting on it while it was still hot, then decided to help themselves to a "sliver" while I took a nap! I woke up and saw the cake...i was hysterical! Thank you boys for the great cake!

Jaxon's 3rd Birthday

Okay...so it has been a while.

Jaxon turned 3 at the end of July and we had a cute little family party. He seemed so happy to be 3! He was most excited about the doughnut and balloon...we could have skipped all the gifts. We had so much fun with everyone! I can't believe my baby is 3.

8 facts

Okay Kuliana...here it goes...

1. I am becoming a night owl...which is totally weird for me because I have always been a boring girl who goes to bed early. I think that will change soon, because I am going back to work starting Monday.
2. I just cut bangs...I think I love them...can't really decide.
3. I have never been an ice cream lover...but lately it is all I want to eat.
4. I love to walk in the morning. I really do.
5. I am reading a very odd book, I Am the Cheese. It is for my 8th grade pre-AP English class. Totally bizarre.
6. I miss my sisters...everyday.
7. My FAVORITE thing to do is go to the movies.
8. I am falling in love with being frugal. I get such a thrill out of getting a deal.
If you read this...your turn to write your 8 facts on your blog!

The Ford Reunion

Jax and I hitched a ride with my parents up to Utah this past weekend. We went to our family reunion that takes place every year up near Heber, UT. It is all of my grandfathers family...and it was a huge tadoo just like always. We had almost 300 people there. Jax was absolutly filthy by the time it was all over...he loved getting so dirty. It was so nice to visit with my grandparents. Everytime I am around them, I learn so many great things. It was so nice to spend time with Jackie and Evan and my parents, too. I am really glad we decided to go, it was so awesome to see Jaxon and his great grandparents hanging out together.

4th of July

4th of July marked our last holiday with Sarah, Craig and the kids. It was a great day. We had a fun bbq at mom and dad's house, then braved the crowds at Balloon Fiesta Park. Jax was all pooped out by the time the fire works started. All through the show, he kept saying "I'm ready to go home." He fell asleep in my arms. I love it when he does that...it reminds me of when he was a baby. I am so glad we got to spend the day with our family...we feel so blessed.

POTTY TRAINED!!!!

He finally did it!!!!!!!!!!!!! Most of you know my many hardships with Jaxon and the potty. Well, we have finally conquered the impossible. He has been doing so great and we are so happy that is out of the way! Check out the video...it is funny.

Texas Motor Speedway!!!!

We went to Fort Worth, where everything is bigger and better...according to Texans...as I soon found out as I was talking about Big Texas Hair and got stared down by a couple of guys as they walked by! We went to see the Indy Car race at the Texas Motor Speedway. It was Jaxon's first race, and he loved it! He does this funny little jerk when he gets really excited...watch the video. He was doing it the entire time we were there...I thought he was going to have a heart attack if he didn't calm down. We got to go with my parents and we also go to take Olivia, which was so great. Sarah and her fam are leaving back to Cali soon, so we felt really blessed to have the time with our Livy. We met Stacey and Jamey in Fort Worth...they drove in from Houston. The race was great...it was under yellow for quite a bit of the race, and it had a great crash on the last few laps...Jaxon was in heaven!
